Categories : Discover Paris, published on : 3/8/23

The winter holidays have a particular flavor, because they are the first since Christmas, and the last before the sunny days. You might as well take advantage of it to treat yourself with fun activities that make you want to. So book your hotel room at the Bleu de Grenelle, and discover all the riches of the capital during your winter holidays in Paris 15.

Walk on the Champ-de-Mars

Less than 10 minutes on foot from the Bleu de Grenelle hotel, the Champ-de-Marsis often placed in the shadow of the Eiffel Tower. However, this immense green space, one of the largest in Paris, is a place not to be missed for a walk with family or friends, or for a romantic walk.

With nearly 25 hectares, this unenclosed park is open every day, and offers a unique space in the heart of Paris. Day or night, you can stroll along the paths lined with majestic trees, bask on the vast lawn, or admire the many bronze statues.

And for the record, know that the Champ-de-Mars was first a vegetable garden, before being a field of maneuver for the army, then a place of commemoration and exhibition.

Visit the Eiffel Tower

Of course, a stay in Paris is not really successful if you do not go through the Eiffel tower. Far from being an endless fad, this iron lady is truly worth seeing. Take advantage of your walk on the Champ-de-Mars to observe it from afar and take beautiful photos, then come closer. At its feet, this metal structure imposes itself and takes your breath away with its imposing architecture and height.

You will be able to access the different floors to discover a view of Paris that you won't get anywhere else. From the first floor, accessible by elevator or by the stairs, the experience is unique, thanks to the panoramic view, of course, but above all thanks to the glass floor. If you feel like it, you can sit down for a few moments in the relaxation area, treat yourself to Madame Brasserie, or buy a small souvenir at the shop.

On the second floor, the panorama changes, and the impression of flying over Paris and being cut off from the world guarantees you an incredible experience. All the landmarks of paris then stretch out at your feet, and the Jules Verne gourmet restaurant is waiting for you.

Finally, to get to the top, you will take a glass elevator that will drop you off at 276 meters above ground. Silence is essential, and the view is offered to you like a gift. Take the opportunity to offer yourself a small glass at the champagne bar, and savor the experience.

Go shopping in the heart of the 15th arrondissement of Paris

And if you take advantage of the next holidays to stock up on good deals? The 15th arrondissement is home to the very recent Beaugrenelle Paris shopping center, where more than 120 shops and restaurants ensure you a memorable shopping session.

You will find major brands, such as Fnac, Zara or H&M, as well as more prestigious boutiques, such as Guerlain or Zadig & Voltaire.

Its elegant architect also houses a multiplex cinema with 10 screens and many restaurants, perfect for spending a quiet evening near the Bleu de Grenelle hotel, after a great day of shopping.
